Hershey's Battle with Adenocarcinoma

Hershey was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma on 7/17/2012. Once my vet diagnosed him, we took him two days later to South Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Columbia, SC. This is a 2 hour drive from us, but Dr. Pam Lucas has been incredible so far! The facility has a brand new radiation department and Hershey received 5 doses the week of 7/23. After the 3rd dose we found out the tumor has shrunk by 1 cm. That doesn't sound like a lot, but it's definitely a move in the right direction! It needs to shrink some more in order to get it removed. So far the cancer has not spread and we're very hopeful. He goes back to the vet on 8/7 to see how much more it has shrunk.
